School trip photos and privacy

You can collect school trip photos in a PIN-protected album. Check your school’s privacy requirements before collecting or sharing photos.

Set up access

Travellers need neither an account nor an installed app to upload. PIN protection is included in Spotlight, Premiere and Studio.

1. 01Open the settings and go to “Visibility & access”.
2. 02Enter a PIN with 4 to 6 digits and tap “Set new”.
3. 03Share the PIN separately from the link. Travellers need both; the link and PIN can be passed on.

Signed-in creators and co-admins do not need to enter the PIN. See access codes and PINs for details.

Hide photos

As the creator or a co-admin, you can hide photos from travellers’ view and show them again later. This does not delete the files. People with the relevant permissions can still see hidden photos.

Invite colleagues

As the creator, you can invite helpers from Spotlight onward. Enable “Helpers can hide photos” in the settings to let them hide and show photos while the album is active.

Retention

After expiry the album is closed to fellow travellers, and the photos are then deleted automatically. See What happens after expiry? for details. Hiding a photo, by contrast, deletes nothing.
