Frequently asked questions
WhatsApp automatically downscales photos and videos, which costs resolution, and requires a WhatsApp account and phone number for every guest. EventDrop works entirely without an app and keeps the full resolution.
A Google Photos album requires a Google account to contribute and doesn't offer a live gallery view during the event. EventDrop allows uploads via QR code without login and shows all photos live.
Not across the board — but in specific ways: Spotlight ($29) unlocks video uploads where comparable apps such as qrFotos (Galerie Lite, €19.90) or everlense (Basis, €29) don't yet allow video (as of 2026-08-30). On pure runtime, other providers are sometimes cheaper or valid longer — EventDrop's edge is instead the recap video, AI moderation, and live photo wall, none of which any provider we compared offers in this form.
