Protecting an event with a PIN

On top of the link, an event can be protected with a 4-to-6-digit numeric PIN — useful if the link gets forwarded by accident or the gallery should not be findable by just anyone on the internet.

**Available from Spotlight** (Spotlight and Premiere).

**How to set it up**

1. Open your event → Settings.

2. Enable the access code and choose a 4-to-6-digit PIN.

3. Share the PIN separately from the link, e.g. in person or on the invitation.

**What guests experience**

Guests enter the PIN once. Access then lasts 24 hours on that device — so a multi-day celebration may ask again.

The PIN is stored hashed. You can change or remove it any time in the event settings, but it cannot be read back in plain text — if it is lost, resetting it is the only option.
