On the road — 02

Everyone uploads in the evening, you keep the overview.

In the evening at the accommodation everyone uploads the day's pictures. You see them all in one place and can hide any single photo that does not belong in the album. Comments and reactions can be switched off entirely.

Afterwards — 03

Back homeeveryone has everything.

At the end of the trip you download every picture as a ZIP and pass it on to the class — in full resolution, without chasing five different chat groups. After the album expires the photos are deleted automatically.

Why EventDrop

Why EventDrop for a school trip

Four things a teacher or club trip lead wants to know up front.

No account, no app

The students open a link in the browser, pick their photos and upload them. No download, no sign-up, no consent form for some unfamiliar service.

Access only with a PIN

From Spotlight on you protect the album with an access code. Only people with the link and the code get in — the album is not publicly discoverable.

Servers in the EU

The photos are stored on servers in the EU. Location data is stripped from every picture on upload, and once the album expires all photos are deleted automatically.

You stay in control

You can hide or delete any single photo — if a parent asks, one message to you is enough. Comments and reactions can be switched off for the whole album.

For the parents

Text block for the letter to parents

Copy the paragraph into your letter to the parents and fill in date and destination.

A template, not legal text.

During the school trip to [destination] on [date] we will collect the photos of the trip in a shared online album (EventDrop, servers in the EU). Access works through a link with an access code that only the participants and accompanying adults receive; the album is not publicly discoverable. Location data is stripped from every picture on upload. We will hide or delete individual photos on request at any time — just send us a short message. You may withdraw your consent to photos of your child being taken and uploaded at any time. Once the album expires, all photos are deleted automatically.

Frequently asked questions

We recommend Premiere ($69): a long runtime, PIN-protected access and co-admins for the accompanying teachers. Spotlight ($29) is the entry point and has PIN access too — split across 31 students that is $0.94 per head, and Premiere across 45 people on a club trip is $1.53. You pay once; the receipt arrives by email and can be settled from the class fund.

Access works through a link with an access code — you decide who gets it, and the album is not publicly discoverable. For the letter to parents there is a pre-written paragraph to copy further up this page — a template, not legal text.

Yes, any single photo can be hidden or deleted, also after the fact. While the album is active you can download every photo as a ZIP at any time. Once it expires the download is locked, and after that the photos are deleted automatically — so save them before the expiry date, or extend the album.
