Setting up a travel photo album
1 min read · Updated 09/04/2026A travel photo album collects the photos of an entire travel group in one place — family, friends, or a school trip. Anyone with the link can upload photos without an account and without installing an app, on Android as well as iPhone.
**How to set it up**
1. Choose the “Travel” template when you create it and enter the start of the trip — your plan's runtime counts from that date, not from the day you create it.
2. Share the link in the group, e.g. in the family chat or the trip group on WhatsApp.
3. Let parents or grandparents try the flow on a test album first — the Demo tier exists for exactly that: one dry run before it counts for real.
**Wi-Fi tip**
Originals are large, especially videos. If you are on mobile data while travelling, it is best to upload on the next available Wi-Fi rather than roaming — otherwise your data plan runs out fast.
**Expiry and extension**
An album ends once your plan's runtime is up. You are notified by email beforehand, never without warning. If the time runs short, the album can be extended.
**At the end**
The bulk ZIP download with all the original files is started by you as the album creator — or by a fellow traveller you invited as a co-admin. From there you pass the file on to the group.
