What EventDrop does differently

Four things worth knowing before you pick either one.

One price per event, and it stays one price

Every EventDrop plan is a single payment for a single celebration. There is no monthly tier to graduate into once you run a second event.

EU storage, and no GPS in your photos

Files are stored on servers in the EU under the GDPR. Location data is removed from every photo before it is saved, so nobody can read where a picture was taken out of the file.

A 30-second recap, included

EventDrop assembles a short recap from the album automatically — part of every plan, not a separate order.

Nothing to install for your guests

Scan, upload, done. No app, no account, no password — on any phone with a camera and a browser.

Frequently asked questions

Their cheapest published gallery is $49 for photos only, or $98 with video. EventDrop is $9 for Flash, and $19 for Spotlight, which includes video uploads up to 100 MB. What you trade away is time: their gallery stays viewable indefinitely, ours runs 3 to 365 days depending on the plan, plus 30 days before the photos are deleted.

No, and that is the one thing both do the same way. Guests scan a QR code or open a link and upload from the browser. Neither asks a guest to create an account.

If the album has to still be reachable years from now, their view-only gallery without a time limit is the honest answer — EventDrop deletes photos 30 days after an album expires. If you want a lower one-time price, storage inside the EU under the GDPR and a recap video you do not have to order, EventDrop fits better.
