Create and complete photo tasks

Photo tasks give your guests ideas for pictures to take. From Spotlight, you can publish ready-made tasks or write your own.

Prepare your tasks

As the host or a co-admin, open “Photo tasks” in the event menu. The photo task overview also takes you to the right event. Helpers cannot manage tasks.

1. 01Add suggestions from a template. The texts use your event’s language and can be edited.
2. 02On your phone, choose “Own task”, enter your text and select “Save”. Each event allows up to 25 tasks, with 120 characters per task.
3. 03New tasks are visible to guests immediately. In the mobile editor, turn off “Visible to guests” and save to hide a task. “Show all again” makes hidden tasks visible again.
4. 04Change the order by dragging tasks on a computer or using the position arrows in the mobile editor.

Join in as a guest

Open “Photo tasks” in the gallery. “Take the photo” opens the upload page with that task selected. You can also select or deselect a task when uploading photos. Taking part is optional.

All photos in one upload batch are assigned to the same selected task. They appear with their task in the gallery, where you can filter by task.

Understand your progress

Your progress applies to the same browser. A task counts as completed once one of your assigned photos is visible. If approval is enabled, it counts after approval. Other guests can still complete the same task.

Deleting a task keeps its photos.
