Your photos and event data are stored in the EU. Some of the service providers involved are based outside the EU.

Storage and delivery

Your photos and event data are stored in the EU. We also use a worldwide network to deliver thumbnails.

Location data in photos and videos

On upload, we remove GPS location data from JPEG, PNG, WebP and HEIC photos. GIFs remain unchanged.

For MP4 and MOV videos, we remove known metadata blocks that may contain location information without re-encoding the picture or sound. We reject videos containing detected location information that we cannot remove. We reject WebM videos if we detect known location markers.

Your data and account

In “Settings”, you can export your data or request deletion of your account. The deletion request deactivates your own events and signs you out. A 30-day waiting period follows. See Delete your EventDrop account for details.

Business use

After signing in, you can conclude the data processing agreement online. Your organization remains responsible for the legal grounds for processing and for informing the people concerned.
