Delete your EventDrop account

How to delete your EventDrop account – in the "EventDrop" app for iOS and Android just as on eventdrop.at. The app and website are provided by Bernhard Götzendorfer, Vienna, Austria.

1. 01Sign in and open "Settings".
2. 02At the bottom, under "Delete Account", tap "Request deletion".
3. 03Type "DELETE" and confirm.

A 30-day waiting period follows. During it you can sign in again and choose "Cancel Deletion" in Settings. Afterwards we permanently delete your profile and your events, with all photos, videos, comments and reactions in them, including your guests' contributions. If you want earlier deletion on legal grounds, write to office@gotzendorfer.at; the waiting period does not limit your rights.

What we keep for longer:

• –Payment records, including purchased partner packs: 7 years, statutory retention duty (Section 132 Austrian Federal Fiscal Code, BAO); only these records are kept, not the event or photo data
• –Withdrawal declarations made via "Withdraw from contract": 7 years from receipt
• –If you concluded a data processing agreement as a business: proof of it, 3 years from the end of the year of deletion
• –The security log of administrative actions: 12 months
• –Database backups: we back up the database daily and keep each backup for 7 days. We do not back up photo files.

Stripe retains payment data as an independent controller under its own rules. All retention periods are listed in our Privacy Policy, section 6.

You are a guest without an account? You can delete a photo you uploaded with "Remove my photo" on the photo – in the same browser, up to 24 hours after uploading and while the event is running. Otherwise ask the host, or write to office@gotzendorfer.at. Describe the event and the contribution as precisely as possible; a link helps but is not required. Write there too if you can no longer sign in.
