Create a recap video

1 min read · Updated 10/18/2026

A recap turns 6 to 12 photos into a video with music. You can adjust the selection, create your video, then download or share it.

Prepare your selection

  1. As the host or a co-admin, open your event’s “Recap Video”. You need at least 6 visible, eligible photos. Helpers and guests cannot create recaps.
  2. Pinned highlights come first, followed by suggestions. “Change selection” swaps individual photos without changing the count. Removed photos also lose their highlight pin.
  3. Under “Cover photo”, choose a selected photo or “No cover photo”. Under “Style”, choose the mood and background music. Playing a track does not select it.

Included recaps and quality

Each event includes: Demo 1, Spotlight 2, Premiere 3 and Studio 5 recaps. Existing Flash events include 2.

Demo, Flash and Spotlight provide 720p with an EventDrop watermark. Premiere and Studio include 1080p without a watermark.

For Demo, Flash and Spotlight, the web version offers 1080p without a watermark at the displayed price: after a finished video or once the free allowance is used. Premiere and Studio offer no additional purchase after their allowance runs out.

Create and share

Choose “Create Recap” while you have recaps remaining. The estimated creation time is 2–3 minutes. You can close the window; an email tells you when the video is ready.

“Download Video” saves it. “Share” opens your device’s sharing options or copies the recap page link. “Show in gallery” makes it visible there. Event access and expiry still apply.
